Célébration 2020 Rings in the New Year with Grand Winners

Célébration 2020 has been Loto-Québec’s way of bidding farewell of 2019 and ringing in the New Year 2020 in the most generous way possible. January 12 ended up being a special day for the individuals that have purchased a winning ticket of this special offer, as it saw the grand televised event bringing tons of prizes both in cash and in luxury vehicles and traveling opportunities. Isabelle Foster of Charlevoix bagged CA$1 million for her participation.

The beginning of December 2019 brought a special lottery offering closer to Quebec players ready for great prizes and a grand celebration of the season of giving. Célébration 2020 is an instant lottery game able to elevate the experience with additional prizes, as well as the ultimate TV draw on January 12, 2020.

Special Draw on TV

Following over a month of riveting prizes finding their winners, mid-January was projected to welcome the special televised draw highlighting the most fortunate ticket purchasers. The big prize of this special draw was the CA$1-million award bagged by a Canada Post employee with great dreams of winning big.

Ms. Foster was the grand winner of this lottery offering, but she failed to comprehend it during the TV draw. The winning purchase was made in Saint-Siméon and projections are that the convenience store would become even more popular following the draw. Ms. Foster stated that she could not believe her luck and everything that is taking place during the TV draw.

Her close family and friends were watching the program and rooting for her to win big. The grand winner said she would take her time to recover from the initial state of shock and figure out her next move. Shortly after the winner was highlighted, she took a photo with the coveted cheque and the hosts of the evening Marie-Mai and Sébastien Benoit. Lynne Roiter, President and Chief Executive Officer of Loto-Québec, was also present for the special photo.

Winners Galore over December

The first day of December 2019 saw the official beginning of this holiday season celebration and everything coming with it. The lottery offering already gave away everything it had up for grabs, such as the grand prize of CA$5 million. It was bagged by a ticket with the number 1841403. In addition to that, there were also five prizes amounting to CA$1 million, already received by their respective ticket holders.

As many as 30 voyages were up for grabs at the beginning of the special offer. It should be taken into account that the winner had the chance to choose between traveling and bagging CA$5,000. Prizes also included luxury vehicles galore, including 31 Audi A3 and 20 BMW X3. Once again winners also had the opportunity to bag a cash prize instead of the vehicles.

The instant lottery ticket itself costs some CA$25 and players had until January 10 to purchase their winning ticket and change their lives forever. The first winner on December 1, 2019 was the purchaser of a ticket with the non-decomposable number 207A741. They became eligible for an Audi A3 or the equivalent of CA$40,000.
